Sean Savoy is Director of Development for the College of Medicine at 蜜桃社区, where he leads major gifts strategy and donor engagement to support scholarships, research, and programs advancing health equity. Central to his work is a conviction that institutions and those in positions of influence must be accountable to the communities they serve.
His career spans nonprofit work in healthcare, education, and the arts, as well as public service, with a consistent emphasis on turning vision into meaningful engagement and sustained support. Savoy has produced dozens of cultural and educational events and directed programs ranging from international seminars and lecture tours to research expeditions in Peru.
At Renown Health 鈥 Nevada鈥檚 largest locally owned, not-for-profit health network 鈥 Savoy served as department head of Holistic Care, where he oversaw the development and launch of the Estelle J. Kelsey Interfaith Center, securing over $500,000 and building community partnerships that brought the project from concept to completion as a lasting resource for patients, families, and staff. While at Renown, he led a team of care providers, interns, and volunteers, integrating clinical spiritual care and resilience support into the medical setting.
Savoy proposed and led the creation of the Human Rights Commission of the City of Reno, Nevada, and served as its Chair, advancing equity-focused policies. He has also founded and run nonprofit and cultural organizations and coalitions, and he has served on numerous nonprofit and community boards. His advocacy has focused on advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion, healthcare access, and interfaith cooperation.
A writer and public speaker, Savoy has been published in academic journals and in outlets such as the Huffington Post. He writes and speaks on the human experience, with a focus on whole-person wellness, social equity, Latin American culture and history, and the intersection of spirituality and science.
